What is Cydarm?

Cydarm's Cyber Response Management platform provides a whole-of-business approach to security operations.

Designed to support a constantly changing landscape, Cydarm provides capabilities that cover a comprehensive set of needs for security operations teams. These include case management, data enrichment, integrations, editable playbooks, reporting, collaboration, and response time SLAs.

Security operations teams now need to analyse, respond, collaborate, communicate, report, and comply. Management and executive leadership teams focused on people and process aspects need efficient and effective ways to support and enable distributed staff. Cydarm's Cyber Response Management Platform was built to support today's security teams, as well as help solve executive and board level concerns.

Leadership Team

Vaughan is a software engineer with a longstanding interest in information security, dating back over his 20 years’ of field experience including early career roles as a UNIX systems administrator, and later work with federal government agencies.

Before founding Cydarm, Vaughan worked at Palantir, a Silicon Valley-based data analytics vendor, as a forward deployed engineer and deployment lead. Prior to that, Vaughan worked for almost 10 years at the Department of Defense in Canberra, Australia and in Maryland, USA leading DevOps teams to drive analytic modernisation efforts using big data.

Vaughan has a PhD in Computer Science, specializing in high scale machine learning, and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Computer Systems Engineering.

Ben is a cybersecurity professional with over 10 years’ experience delivering cybersecurity advisory and assurance projects in Australian Government and ASX 200 listed organizations. These included businesses in the energy, insurance, telecommunications, retail, and technology sectors.

More recently, Ben was the first employee and an investor in Hivint, helping grow the business from its inception to an eventual sale to Optus Trustwave in 2018.The sum of all these influences – an interest in growing startups and how security operations interact with other cybersecurity disciplines – has led Ben to Cydarm Technologies.

Ben has a Bachelor of Business (Business Information Systems), a CISSP, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Phillip Grasso-Nguyen

Phillip is a senior leader in technology and a creative engineer with over 25 years experience delivering software, platforms, infrastructure, networking, security and SRE solutions for some of the biggest names in technology.

Passionate about unlocking velocity and developing high performing engineers, his forte is finding the sweet spot between people, process and technology, and employee empowerment and championing diversity and inclusion in the engineering community.

Phillip successfully contributed 14 years to Google, and is now a Divisional Director and Head of Engineering Excellence and Reliability at Macquarie Group.

Eugene Teo
Advisor - Cybersecurity

Risk, Leadership, and Enterprise Security

Eugene Teo is Deputy Chief Security Officer and Vice President at UKG, where his teams proactively address risks to the safety and security of our people and customers.

Eugene previously led Symantec's first Security Response Centre in ASEAN, focused on security detection engineering and advanced threat investigations. Before Symantec, he was with Red Hat's product security, the Linux Kernel's upstream security team, the Ministry of Defence in Singapore, and a few dot-com technology startups.

Eugene holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Computing from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He is also certified with CISM, CRISC, CIPP/E, CIPM, and Boardroom Certified Qualified Technology Expert (QTE).

Josh Lemon
Advisor - Cybersecurity

Digital Forensics and Incident Response

Josh Lemon is the Director of Uptycs' global managed detection and response team. He is also a co-author for the SANS Institute “Enterprise Cloud Forensics” (FOR509) and “DFIR NetWars” courses and teaches the "Advanced Incident Response and Threat Hunting" (FOR508) and the "Advanced Network Forensics" (FOR572) courses.

Josh has two decades of experience in the incident response and digital forensic industry, he previously worked as a Director at Salesforce.com in their international Salesforce Security Response Centre (SSRC). He has also held the role of CSIRT Manager for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and as a Managing Consultant for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence.

Shanna Daly

Shanna has over 20 years’ experience across the information security industry, where her expertise has been called upon during countless data breach investigations, giving her an in-depth understanding of the importance of effective security implementations.

Shanna's wealth of knowledge of information security areas, including GRC, Penetration Testing, and auditing has enabled her to build high performing teams of industry experts responding to all types of intrusions and breaches. This experience across information security domains gives her a unique perspective and a “think outside the box” attitude to securing organisations, elevating her to success in advisory and leadership spaces.

Sean Walsh

Sean Walsh bring a wealth of knowledge from his past roles with Alyne, Carbon Black, Citrix, Oracle, AppSense, Avecto and more recently, Centrify. Sean is responsible for taking complex technology solutions for organisations that are not yet based in region and growing and building successful territories and teams that provide solution value to both partners and the end user of technology.

Sean carries 20 years of IT experience, across a variety of IT solutions and successful customer outcomes. He is a seasoned global traveller with education in both Ireland and the United Kingdom with a BA in Information Management & Finance from the University of Westminster, London.
